i just really hate starbucks is all. i always have and have proclaimed promises to my self and those surrounding that i will never commit my self to that damn company but alas times are tuff and i can either work a year or whatev at a place i already like and slave away smellin like hamburgers all the time or work at a place i never go to and smell like coffee all the time.
i feel like i would hate life more at INO..the environment keeps you on your toes and sure its a dollar more an hour.....but i can see this becoming a hot awful strapped-down grilled-onion summer and while it would help to get me towards buyin a new car (which is a whole other story..) or savin for trips n whatnot..i think i might rather sacrifice that dollar an hour towards enjoying my year a little more..? is that stupid or economically unwise? probably unwise. besides i keep hearin things on how sbux is goin down the drain more n more every day. but i dunno man. it would be nice to have a little more java experience under my belt for future shops i could work at, wherever. even though at the big man its all measured out for you and theres thermometers and timers on EVERYTHING so you dont actually know what youre doin, you just get good at following premeasured robots' orders and makin drink after drink and smile after smile blah blah. can you tell how much i like workin for corporations??
i really am interested in coffee though. ! definitely not the way sbux presents it but like coffee art and stuff....so cool.

like really. what the hell. i wanna make cats or bears or whatever that is
anyways. this post was mostly to organize my thoughts. no more talk of this and eventually i will inform you of my upcoming occupational fate. death vs. death. no one comes out alive.
i think that was winni the pooh?
ReplyDeletedo it. work the bux. in n out is crazy intense and a lot of physical labour. Sbux is pretty chill and you learn how to deal with high stress lines but in a more comfortable way and tips--you get tips but you should be getting more. I would make as much as you get in a week in a day at O'Neills but its nice to have extra change no matter.
do it. + easier to transfer if you ever wanna relocate.
..remember when you worked at in n out for one day? thats what i feel like i would want to do if i started. like, almost dreading it. which is not a good sign. heh. yaay.
ReplyDeletebut yes yes i agree. and good call on relocating. i applied today. i already know everyone there and they were excited and said the other interviews didnt go so hot so ill probably get it. welp.
yay!!! I hope you do get it!
ReplyDeleteI hated In N Out. i miss those burgers though. boy do i..
